Childbirth Education Package

Prenatal Visits

We will have 2 prenatal visits.  At the visits I will help you identify your priorities for the birth and help you write a birth plan. We will also discuss all of the common practices and procedures you may encounter during labor and birth and answer any questions that you might have.

Phone & Email Support

You will have access to unlimited phone and email support as soon as you hire me. I can answer any questions you may have, listen to your hopes and fears, be a shoulder to cry on or simply discuss a prenatal visit you had with your doctor.

Childbirth Education Series

Private, 3-class series, which includes pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum education, plus breastfeeding and newborn basics. This series is tailored to your specific interests and goals.

On-Call

I will be on-call for you 24/7 from 2 weeks prior to your estimated due date, until the birth of your baby. This means that I will carry my cell phone with me at all times during the day and night. You will be able to call whenever you feel you might be going into labor and I will come to you whenever you are ready for me.

Labor & Delivery

Once you are in labor, I will provide continuous emotional & physical support to you and your partner.

After the Birth

I provide immediate postpartum support for you and your new baby. I will stay with you for approximately 1 to 2 hours after the birth to help initiate bonding and breastfeeding. If your baby needs to be away from you for any reason, I spend this time with you, helping to settle postpartum hormones and provide some much needed hydration and nourishment. If you are moving to a postpartum hospital room, I will help you get settled in there before leaving.

Postpartum Visits

I also provide 1 to 2 postpartum visits to discuss how you are doing and how you feel about the birth. This will also include Breastfeeding Counseling, and ongoing breastfeeding support as needed.
